Serpents TrailA windy trail that encourages you to keep going along each turn. Probably the "local favorite" as it is easily accessible and a great way to surprisingly bump into multiple friends along the trail.
|
Liberty CapAscending the entire time, but "doable ascending", or "leisurely ascending", with three access points to the trail, which allows the hike to be as much as 7 miles one way leading to the Liberty Cap rock sculpture.

Local Grand Valley Hikes
Mt. GarfieldIf you like to go up, you'll love this trail. It is nothing more than straight up, the whole thing, a quad killer. That being said, it offers 360 views of the entire Grand Valley with a true feeling of satisfaction at the top.
|
Bangs CanyonCentrally located in the Grand Valley, this area offers so many trails for multiple different activities. A great hike for the kids is Mica Mine. Not too long and your final destination is an old Mica and Quartz Mine!
