Thinking about becoming a homeowner can bring up a lot of emotions. When you first start considering homeownership, you’ll probably come up with some very good reasons to not go through with it.
You might think that… -You’ll end up losing money when you eventually go to sell -Your mortgage won’t work out or will be too much -Buying a home is just too complicated or time-consuming Those are all good reasons, but if you look a little deeper, you’ll find that those thoughts are based on fear. Buying a home can be scary. That’s why you need a great real estate agent to guide you through the whole process from start to closing day! Wondering if you’re ready to buy a home? Reach out to me and we can talk about it! . . . #coldwelldistinctiveproperties #grandjunction If you’re wondering if you should wait to buy in a down market or buy a home now, let’s talk about it!
Right now, we are in a seller’s market where sellers have the upper hand. A down market would be a buyer’s market where buyers have the negotiating power. But just because we’ll be in a seller’s market for the foreseeable future doesn’t make it a bad time to buy! In fact, right now you’ll face far less competition as compared to last year and higher levels of supply since the market isn’t moving quite as quickly. You’ll have more time to find the house that’s right for you. Additionally, because the market isn’t moving as quickly, you may see some price drops, which makes it a great time to buy. . . . #westslopebestslope #grandjunction Financing a house isn’t the most exciting thing in the world–but it is one of the most important parts of buying a new home.
But did you know that not all properties qualify for the same kind of financing? It’s true, and sometimes lenders won’t lend mortgages on certain properties. Likewise, some sellers won’t accept certain types of financing. So what’s a buyer to do? Well, first off, find a real estate agent you love and follow their advice. Second, find a great lender and get your financing in order before you even start looking at homes! By getting pre-approved and knowing what kind of financing is available to you, you’ll be able to better be able to select a house that will work for you. Have questions about financing a home? Just send me a DM and we’ll talk! . . . #grandjunction #financing I keep getting questions about the state of the real estate market, and rightfully so!
Concerns about the market are everywhere, and both buyers and sellers are wondering if the market is just leveling out or if something like a crash is on the horizon. Well, here you go: the market is simply leveling out–and it’s due to 2 main reasons: 1. Buyers are being priced out of the market due to the price increases we’ve seen over the last couple of years. 2. Mortgage rates are increasing, making would-be buyers hold off to see what will happen. As a result of these two things, home prices are starting to plateau. These homes are still selling, but it’s taking a bit more time and there aren’t bidding wars like there were a year ago. Now, this is still a good time to buy and sell. You just need a little extra patience and guidance from a trusted real estate agent. I’m here to help! Send me a DM and let’s talk about your real estate concerns. . . . #coldwelldistinctiveproperties #westslopebestslope |
