Don’t be! It’s actually a great idea to talk to any potential neighbors for a house you want to make an offer on. You’ll get a feel for the neighborhood by meeting people and you’ll be able to see if you like the neighbors! Neighbors can have a huge impact on your happiness in your house so it’s worth the time and initial awkwardness to talk to the people around your potential new house. All you have to do is politely introduce yourself as a potential buyer if you see a neighbor outside. They’ll likely be more than happy to answer any of your questions about the house and the area! . . . #grandjunction #westslopebestslope Ditch the harsh chemicals and unclog your pipes naturally using these steps!
Clogged sink and shower drains are a common occurrence for most of us. But did you know that you don’t have to use harsh, corrosive chemicals to take care of those clogs? Try these methods in order, and test the drain after each step. Usually, the drain gets unclogged after using baking soda and boiling water in step one. Plus, these methods are much better for your plumbing compared to those corrosive drain cleaners. Your pipes will thank you if you stick to these steps. P.S. Save this post so you have it handy when your next drain gets clogged! . . . #cleanhome #nontoxic Pinterest is a great place to get inspiration for your home (or home-to-be). But when it comes to the execution, well, that’s when things get a little trickier.
So here’s a nudge: if there’s something on your “home inspo” board that you can do today, go do it! Maybe it’s as simple as rearranging a display on your bookcase or switching the layout of your bedroom. P.S. Send this to someone who definitely does this! . . . #designtips #coldwelldistinctiveproperties Stuck in the middle of wanting to buy a home and wanting to have a low interest rate?
When it comes to buying a home in 2023, you really have 2 options. 1) Wait until interest rates drop and see what kind of home you can get 2) Or buy the home that’s right for you now and refinance down the line If you’re at a point in your life where you’re ready to buy a home and it makes sense for you to do so, the equity you build will make it worth the higher initial rate. Remember: you’re not married to your interest rate. When rates drop in the future, you can refinance your mortgage and have the best of both worlds: a lower rate and a home that’s building your financial future! Want to talk more about whether or not buying a home right now is the right move for you? Just send me a DM! . . . #westslopebestslope #bestdistinctive Get ready to play the long game…
Because real estate is a long term investment! Even when you’re buying a home for yourself and your family, you’re making an investment in your financial future. You have to build up your equity and let your property values rise over the span of years before you can cash out your investment. But when you do wait and play the long term investment game, you’ll find that real estate is definitely worth the wait when you get that high return on investment or ROI. When you focus on building your wealth through high ROI, long term investments, you may need to make some short-term sacrifices. Maybe you put off the new car for a year, or skip that vacation to Cabo once. These tradeoffs are so worth it when you cash out your real estate investment down the line! Let’s go through the different factors that can affect your interest rate. - Credit Score: The higher your credit score, the lower your interest rate will be in most cases. -Loan Type: Different kinds of loans have different interest rates. Generally speaking, FHA and VA loans will have lower interest rates than a conventional 30-year loan. -Loan to Value: If you only need a $100,000 loan to buy a $300,000 home, you’ll get a better interest rate than you would if you needed a $275,000 loan for the same home. -Property Type: Some properties, like condos and vacation rentals, are seen as a larger risk to the lender. The riskier the loan for the lender, the higher the interest rate will be on your end. Each of these factors impact your interest rate quote in different ways. Some of these things you have control over, while you don’t have control over others. Want to talk more about interest rates? Send me a DM and let’s chat! . . . #coldwelldistinctiveproperties #grandjunction What do mortgage rates and inflation have in common? A lot, actually.
Mortgage rates go up when inflation goes up. This is because the Federal Reserve will raise consumer interest rates as a way to decrease the amount of spending happening. This is what we’re seeing right now. There’s a lot of money flowing in and out of the economy, and the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates to try to slow that. On the flip side, that means that when inflation goes down, interest rates will go down as well. Inflation will go down, especially because of the interest rate increases we’ve seen over the past year. So, with that in mind, you can feel confident either buying now and refinancing to a lower rate in the future. Want to talk more about interest rates and buying a home in this market?
